Even though the website hasn’t been updated much, I’ve been very busy creating art and photographic images and visiting art galleries all over the place.
I did a portrait of my niece for the Young Archies (Art Gallery of NSW) and a self-portrait for The Shirl (Bega Regional Art Gallery). Even though I wasn’t a finalist, the paintings got lots of positive comments on Facebook and Twitter.
I did a commission for a lovely lady from Sofala, who had seen my work out there earlier this year.
At the start of September my family attended the opening of this year’s Operation Art exhibition (Armory Gallery, Newington) and I was very pleased that my painting was chosen for the Touring 50 exhibition that will travel around NSW in 2018!
Earlier in 2017 I entered three works in the Portland Art Show and all three sold which was amazing.
My paintings won the People’s Choice award at both Textures of One exhibition (Blayney) and the Evans Arts Council exhibition in Bathurst.
I won prizes at the Sofala Show and the Royal Bathurst Show and won the Supreme Champion award at the Blayney Show.
Artshed, the Artist Run Initiative I am a member of, had their second exhibition, called Invincible during July.
The other big news is that I was recently selected for my first solo exhibition (Share The Earth) that will be in Dubbo next year!
